There is so much more to a parish than Sundays. The celebration of the Sunday Mass should rightly be the pinnacle of the week and is a beautiful opportunity to come together as community in thanksgiving for the week had and to ask for God's blessing for the week ahead.
However, the church started with Jesus and his 12 apostles who would journey together, eat together, pray together, laugh together, cry together, learn together - I could go on but i think you can see the key word there is together. This is why community is so key to our faith and even key to the word Communion, when we receive Jesus at Mass it is a communion not only with us and God but with each other as the Church.
This is why there are opportunities to get more involved, to build community with others, to learn about and celebrate our faith in groups and acts of worship, and to truly be the Body of Christ. Jesus also set the example to the apostles of the importance of reaching out and doing acts of service for others through His healing and miracles. This is a key aspect too of being a missionary church - it's even said that volunteering and doing things for other people is actually good for your health!
In the menu for this page it shares some key aspects of parish life that you may need information for at times including what to do for funerals, how to organise Mass Intentions being offered, and to welcome you if you are new to the parish or interested in becoming a Catholic.
It also contains info of how you might want to get involved by assisting with the different roles at Mass, the variety of parish groups you can become part of, or how to get in touch and/or become a member of the KK club (parish club) which has been the venue of many a buffet and party after Baptisms and special Church celebrations.
